Rede EuroMaB – Network of Biosphere Reserves in Europe.
EuroMAB is the oldest and largest networks MAB (52 countries, including Canada and the U.S.). Meeting of National Committees of the MAB EuroMAB occurred almost every two years since 1986 (Ceske Budowijce, now the Czech Republic). However, given the large number of biosphere reserves (now 262), has been difficult to organize meetings EuroMAB that broadly reflected the needs and interests of all MAB National Committees and while all the coordinators of the biosphere reserve.
The last full meeting of the coordinators was held in 1998 in Finland and EuroMAB following meetings in 2000 (Cambridge, UK) and 2002 (Rome, Italy) involved only a limited number of coordinators Biosphere Reserve. The biosphere reserve NordMAB meeting was held in Latvia in 2004.
