World Network Island and Coastal Reserves- newly created network and which Santana is a founding member.

This network was created in May 2009, in Jeju, during the 21th International Coordinating Council of the Programme Mab. However, it is in February 2012, on the island of Menorca which was decided before the members co founders that this network would have two seats techniques to coordinate the proposed objectives: one in Jeju-oriented themes of climate change and in Menorca other oriented the theme of sustainable development.

This network is part of biosphere reserves: Jeju (Republic of Korea), Menorca (Balearic Islands), Shinan Dadohae (Republic of Korea), St. Kitts and Nevis (Caribbean), Yakushima (Japan), Komandorskiye Islands (Russia) , Siberut Islands (Indonesia), Palawan (Philippines), Juan Fernández Islands (Chile), Islands of the Gulf of California (Mexico), Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, La Palma and Madeira Santana.
